Chain Store Age Online: H&R Block Launches Tissue-Pack Promotion

New York City - April 4 - H&R Block has ordered 25,000 packs of personalized tissue packs from AdPack USA for use in 21 of its offices throughout Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.

H&R Block, at the height of its busy tax season, chose to replace the chocolate bars usually offered to customers with individual branded tissue packs.

"We wanted our brand to stay in the hands of our customers for more than the two minutes it takes to eat a candy bar. Plus, we chose to hand them out in colder states where tissues are truly appreciated—especially this time of year," said Kristen Fusco, marketing consultant for H&R Block.

The initial feedback of the branded tissue packs in the field has been positive.

"Tissue-pack marketing is proven effective in the financial services industry," said Steve Jacobs, president, AdPack USA. "Unlike flyers or direct mail, the advertisement usually is not discarded until the tissues run out, giving it guaranteed repeat exposure. Plus, we are able to insert a coupon in the back of the tissue pack, offering additional value to the consumer."
